And the Winner is...

The North American Truck of the Year Award is like the Miss America pageant.  There are high hopes and dreams surrounding the event and at the end of it, all but one's are crushed.  The winner of this prestigious award is recognized for setting new standards and is judged according to innovation, comfort, design, safety, handling, driver satisfaction, and value.  This year, the winner is the 2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque!  This award is unique in that the judges are a committee composed of 50 automotive journalists from several media outlets across Canada and the United States.  Beating the competition by over 100 points, the Range Rover Evoque has truly earned this win over the Honda CR-V and the BMW X3.  It has opened up a whole new door for trucks and SUVs with its coupe body style option and environmental focus.

I love this time of year: the decorations, songs, time spent with family and friends, and the upcoming Detroit Auto Show where all of the top brands debut their latest creations, all hoping to be declared the winner of the North American Car or Truck of the Year.  The nominations have been revealed and among them is the 2012 Range Rover Evoque.  Stuart residents interested in purchasing a new truck should definitely consider this distinguished vehicle.  To qualify for this prestigious award, the truck must be new (in terms of model design) or significantly changed from previous models in its line.  The nominees are evaluated based on performance, handling, value, safety, and driver satisfaction.  The winner, decided upon by American and Canadian auto journalists, will set the bar for vehicles in its class.  Across the world and especially in Stuart, 2012Range Rover Evoque models have already managed to do just that.

No One Can Match Jaguar's APEAL

New Jaguar models tend to have a lasting appeal that no other automaker in the world can match. We here at Jaguar Land Rover Treasure Coast know this, but we realize that not everyone else does. That is why we turn to J.D. Power and Associates, and, more specifically, their 2011 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study.

This year marks the fourth consecutive year that Jaguar has ranked second overall in the brand ranking segment of the APEAL Study. The APEAL Study examines a total of 32 brands and ranks them based on owner evaluations of more than…

Jaguar XFR Facelift by Ian Callum

An updated version of the upcoming 2012 Jaguar XF, which can be viewed at Jaguar Land Rover Treasure Coast in Fort Pierce, FL, will be called Jaguar XFR, and might be design chief Ian Callum's favorite look yet.

"This is definitely the best facelift I've done at Jaguar," the design said.

In front, Jaguar has added a new hood, wings, bumper, headlamps and grille. The hood features a prominent power bulge, standard on all models, from European diesels up to the XFR. A key change is slimmer XJ-style headlamps.

Callum also enlarged the grille and made it slightly…

Jaguar Leaps Out of Box

Now under Tata, Jaguar is ramping up its ambitions. Together with Land Rover, the stealth cat's alleged long-term plan is to increase production three-fold by 2018.

To meet this lofty goal, new executives John Edwards at Land Rover and Adrian Hallmark at Jaguar have agreed with Tata's COO Carl-Peter Forster and Jaguar's CEO, Ralph Speth to jointly develop more efficient, universally applicable drivetrains, vehicle architectures, and production processes.

For Jaguar, this means working on the face-lifted XF and an unusual wagon variant scheduled to debut later this year. The luxury automaker is also working steadfast on a…

Land Rover's Range Rover: Then and Now

The 2011 Range Rover marks the fifth decade that Land Rover has been producing the vehicle. For one vehicle to be in production for 50 years says a lot about Land Rover and the vehicle itself. So just how far has the vehicle come?

Well, founder of Land Rover Experience, Roger Crathorne, brought the original and its contemporary counterpart out to the Eastnor Castle for the folks at Edmund's INSIDE LINE to drive and compare. It should be noted that Crathorne is the engineer and off-road expert who developed the original Range Rover and has had a hand in…

Jaguar XF Facelift

Auto spies have caught several new images of the 2012 Jaguar XF facelift. According to World Car Fans, "Undergoing testing in Europe, the heavily camouflaged prototype features a new front fascia, streamlined headlights, and a larger grille. Out back, the changes are harder to spot but we can expect a revised bumper and modified taillights."

Under the hood of the upcoming XF, engine options will carryover with minor tweaks to improve efficiency and performance. Despite this, speculation suggests at least one new engine will be offered but nothing is official as of yet. The updated XF is expected to debut…
