As I was looking around my apartment last weekend, I realized something startling.  This place makes me look horrendously boring!  Not many people walking through an open house apartment would have any idea that a creative, outgoing, vivacious person lived here.  So I went to a second hand store down the street and I picked up a jade Buddha statue.  Am I Buddhist?  No.  Do I have a great love of Asian culture?  Not really.  Would people that see the statue ask me both of those questions and help to start a nice conversation about what I actually DO like?  You bet.  And that got me thinking about the city I live in, how could we spice this place up?  I think that it would be great if Vero Beach used Jaguar statues in funny and interesting places around the city.  Heck maybe they could model them after the statuettes you'd find adorning the hoods of the used cars in the lot at Jaguar Land Rover Treasure Coast.
